We stand behind the tina.care® service

We are a startup, Bonitoo s.r.o., founded in the Czech Republic. We operate worldwide in the field of developing modern technologies and smart solutions.

But how does this relate to tina.care®?

"Today our gentleman got worse on 10/2. The family was very sad and said they were worried that he wouldn't be able to call if he had trouble breathing. I assured them that the sensor he has on him and that I monitor him in the app were helping us. You could see how it calmed them down and they said they were glad we were keeping an eye on him. That's why it makes sense to me 🙂"

About us

Every strong project starts with a story. Ours started with the development team at Bonitoo s.r.o., where we have been creating software for demanding customers in the Czech Republic and abroad for a long time. While working with technology, we realized that there is an area where innovations can have an immediate and tangible impact on human life — the area of care for patients, clients, and seniors.

That is why the startup tina.care® was created.

We have been self-financing it from the beginning, without investors and without compromising on how the system should look. This approach has allowed us to develop a solution that really makes sense: practical, affordable, technically robust and easy to use in the daily operation of health and social services.

We don't build technology for technology's sake. We build tools to make people's jobs easier and to make life safer for those who need it most. Every decision we make is made by a team of developers who see a specific problem and want to solve it with a clean, smart, and accessible solution.

Our story is simple: We saw a problem, we believed we could solve it, and so we did.

If we are to write a story for one person, then we write it for the nurse who is in charge of the entire ward; for the head of the home who wants to increase the safety of his clients; and for the family who wants to be sure that their loved one is well taken care of.

And if our story is understandable to one of them, then it is right for all of them.

History of the tina.care® project
and important milestones

The development of tina.care® began as an effort to bring safety to seniors in their homes and gradually transformed into a full-fledged system for health and social institutions. The journey led through pilot projects, collaborations with experts and the first commercial deployment. Below you will find key milestones that shaped the creation and growth of the entire project.

2021

Impulse from home care

The project begins by observing the real needs of seniors living at home. We are looking for a way to ensure safety without invasive cameras and without the need to wear any devices on the body. We are exploring technologies that can respect privacy while providing insight into risky situations.

07/2022

The first contactless prototype for households

The first functional version of a sensor based on the Doppler effect is being developed. The device can anonymously and discreetly detect the movement of a person in bed and warn of risky situations. We are testing it in real homes — and it is becoming clear that the technology has significantly broader potential.

10/2022

Understanding: the key is to start in institutions

We are finding that for a system to be viable in households, it must first be verified, tuned, and tested over the long term in a professional environment. That is why we are reaching out to the first institutions and establishing strategic cooperation.

01/2023

Home hospice involvement Cesta domů (POC)

At the same time as the hospital environment, we are also starting to cooperate with Cesta domu. We are testing how the system can help with patient care in the home environment under the supervision of professionals. This experience fundamentally shapes the ease of installation and reliability of detection.

02/2023

Cooperation with the Thomayer University Hospital (POC)

The Thomayer University Hospital is the first large institution to allow testing of the technology in clinical operation. We are obtaining valuable feedback from medical staff, testing different room types, signal conditions, and practical workflows.

08/2023

Creation of an independent startup financed from own resources

We are establishing a product brand called tina.care®, which we have been self-financing from the beginning. Thanks to this, we maintain our independence, pace of development and direct relationship with healthcare and social care professionals. The name is a tribute to the rock singer Tina Turner, who in her personal life worked as a nurse before becoming famous.

10/2024

First paying customer – transition from POC to real operation

After two years of validation, the first fully commercial deployment is coming.

The customer implements tina.care® as a standard part of care in their department, becoming the first to deploy the system in a fully paid operation. This milestone confirms the product’s readiness for the wider market.

10/2025

Deployment in production – entire departments under the supervision of tina.care®

The system is stable, proven and ready for massive implementation. tina.care® is deployed in the first entire departments of hospitals and nursing homes.

What's next? Development doesn't stop.

Our work does not end with the first major milestones. tina.care® is constantly evolving — and we have even bigger goals ahead of us. After a challenging period of legislative and certification work, we are preparing a major expansion of the entire system.

We want to enable the active involvement of families in care, offer them a safer and more transparent overview of their loved ones, and create tools that connect professional care with the family environment.

At the same time, we return to the very beginning: to households.
That's where tina.care® will one day start helping seniors and people who need discreet, smart and safe support right in their own homes.

So development does not end — on the contrary.

The most important thing is yet to come.
